Thoughts that just come to me...
One of our planets is missing.

The universe seems a little smaller today, or at least the solar system. The International Astronomical Union has stripped Pluto of the planetary status. It has been reclassified as a “dwarf planet” along with the former asteroid Ceres and UB313, a recent discovery.

The first question that comes to my mind is: What does this mean for astrology? I guess Aries and Scorpio will have to go back to fighting over Mars.

It makes our Solar System a little less Mickey mouse, eh?

Do you think Disney should sue?

And see, I was voting for Ceres, Charon, and Xena to be made planets, and for Pluto to stay one. Shucks.

I was voting

Should have gotten out your vote.

Well . . . the problem is that I don't have enough letters and periods after my name for my vote to count . . .

Maybe I'll just pretend to be San Chonino, Ph.D., M.D., Esquire, B.F.D.

Then I can go and lobby to change the vote (AGAIN!) and get us 12 planets!

Just don't vote for the 60 planet option that some of them were talking about. I don't want to have to memorize that many!

BOR-ING! It would be fun to have too many planets.

Hey, which would be more fun - memorizing sixty planets or that stupid periodic table?

I've already memorized half that damn periodic table....a person should know the molar mass of oxygen of the top of their head.... 15.999 by the way.

Just think - next time you're on a date with some lucky girl, you can impress her with that knowledge!

(But who am I to give you a bad time - I'm just as much a plethora of useless knowledge myself . . .)
