Thoughts that just come to me...
Can the country really be this divided?
Published on November 9, 2004 By Genghis Hank In Politics
In New York, a man commits suicide in part because of his disappointment over the election…

In Florida, a therapist admits to treating 15 patients for “Post Election Selection Disorder”…

In Canada, the government makes an official response to the reported numerous inquiries from dissatisfied US voters seeking to move…

And now, talk of the blue states seceding from the Union?

I really don’t know what to make of this. Are we really this divided? Or did I just wake up in the Twilight Zone today? It is an election, people! Not the end of the world!

Well, there’s at least one good thing about the Twilight Zone. The Steelers managed to draft, sign, and play a good quarterback!

Personally, I resent the Democratic party giving all us left-handed people a bad name... I'm a lefty and proud of it, but I am not now, nor have I ever been, a member of the Democratic party!

I'm not a Demo. I'm a searching liberal.

(Oh, and -- very witty. )

I guess that's it . . . I don't generally "get" your humor.

Well I am a non-conformist, goth, occultist, discordian, Big time former Anarchist, former republican, Libertarian, Horror/Sci-Fi writer, Psychological Philosopher, and _________ (blank space in case I left anything out).
To understand my humor is like trying to understand the humor of Edgar Allen Poe or M. Night Shmyalan, or Stephen King, Malclpyse the Younger, Robert Anton Wilson, etc.

By the by, did I mention my tendencies to have darker thoughts than "normal" people because I find it intriguing. Though I consider myself "normal" and consider other people...well, weird. Maybe you thought I was of like mind, I don't know but your apology is accepted if and only if you accept my apology for the misconception of confusing you with something other than a Leftie (?), I don't know what the proper term you want me to use so I will leave it at that.

Hmm, only need a couple of paragraphs left in this Philosophy assignment so if you respond before I complete it and before I go to class I will try to respond.

Grimmity Grimmity Boo-ooo!!
I did love that Disney Channel classic.

Many people hold an appreciate for the work of those you've listed, myself included.

I just consider myself a liberal, and I am still working out my political belief system, so it does change. You can't go wrong with liberal, lefty, or Texas Wahine. And I most certainly accept your apology, though I don't think it's really necessary as I was the one being an ass.

Tex, I think the implied message is that it's one thing to appreciate Poe et al., but it's rather a different thing to think their work is humorous.

Grim!
Thanks for the appology. No hurt feelings here!

Hey, if you appreciate Robert Anton Wilson, then perhaps you will appreciate some of my potential alternate usernames/names for the Llama Log:

SemiconsciousLlamaArmy
Llama_Agglomerate
Society_for_Freellamas

"Why Llamas Like Golden Apples"
"The Llaminatus Trilogy"

etc etc etc

Poe is actually a relative of mine. A cousin on my mother's side. I'm always proud to note a family resemblance myself.

You sound more fun all the time, Grim! --LL

Oh, RAW's latest trend was the Guns and Dope Party that promised:
"Equal rights to men, women, and ostriches!"

Good stuff from RAW, he has a website and the www.gunsandope.com, is the place where he put his thesis for the Guns and Dope Party.

Off to see the Zardoz, the wonderful Zardoz of Zod Plinko!!

I did not know that "lame duck" referred to a re-elected President and I apologize for misunderstanding you.
I hope there was no harm.

Lame duck does not refer to a re-elected President, though it is true that a president in his second term, "lame duck" only refers to that period between the election and the next president takes over.  After all, if a republican is elected president in 2008, isn't it likely that individual will do many similar things to George Bush?  "Lame Duck" really only applies when the party in the office has changed, not when the person can't be reelected anymore.

Cheers
